Day

Day after day,
Night after night,
Blood from the cuts,
Cuts from emotional scars,
Scars I no longer want,
Scars of life at its worst.
But deep inside,
Life at its best.

Action after action,
Wish after wish,
Hope slowly fading,
Life slowly,
Gradually, becoming the old,
The way it was when I was alone,
Then I stopped when I met her,
Now as we are apart,
Starting old habit’s again.

I cast a spell last night
For her to follow her heart and be happy
No matter how much it may hurt me.
Her happiness is important.
I will move on,
But I will always love her.

Forward I look,
Hoping the best.
Wanting true happiness once again.
