Its Ticking Down

The day is slowly approaching as the schedule date gets closer, 23rd July, seems far away but to me it’s not, 3 weeks in Greece, 3 weeks in the Sun, 2 weeks in Athens, 1 week on Naxos. It’s been too long since I was on Naxos, 2012 was the last time, but to see my friends on this beautiful island again will be GREAT.

This trip also marks the first time in my travelling history where I will travel with someone else, my friend Diesel who I have known since those days at nursery is also coming, he has never been on holiday abroad himself. And he is taking the chance to spend 3 weeks in the height of Greek Summer, where he will meet temperatures he has never imagined. See a culture that will see odd to him. Myself and rest of our friends know he will manage as long as he remembers how hot it will get!

First week planning to take him to the touristy places, the pantheon, the agora, the museums, let him see where Greece started to where it has become. See where Democracy was founded. And hit a few beaches to look at the pretty ladies.

Then a 5 days in Naxos, where he will see a unique experience of true Greek Island life where tourism is still a new concept and community spirit is high.

Final week we relax in Athens, seeing my friends, Georgia …. Ooo Georgia *drools* how I miss her, how I look forward to an opportunity just to see her again, and give her a hug. Maria if she isn’t to tired from work, Dimitri and many others, show Diesel how to party Greek style.

For myself I look forward to it, souvlaki, ooo I miss souvlaki … Chicken Souvlaki Gyro style nom nom nom!!!
