Lost In Time Once More

To all my husbands subjects
I am the girl who has not been named
My husbands death was far from in vain
We believe he was murdered
Poison in his drink

The assassination you be happy to hear,
didn’t have the desired effect
Though my husband was slain.

My husband gave you freedom
A land of no crime
Racism was abolished
Slavery was killed in its prime.
Woman got the right to vote,
And everyone was made equal.

The church was proven wrong (how I dare not say)
Homosexuals can marry,
And we have no need for money
My servants and guards all volunteer
In this land my husband created

But while it sounds perfect
We still have Capital Punishment ….
Tomorrow there will be a public execution!!
