People, my friends
Say they know how I’m feeling,
They claim they know what I’m going through,
They tell me to get over and find another girl
I don’t want another girl,
I want the one I lost
I need that one,
She is whom I love,
Whom I want to spend my life with.

It’s been a day almost,
Time has gone so slowly,
Since we parted,
The need for you grows stronger still,
My heart is beating fast,
As you are on my mind,
You are always on my mind and always will be,
I love you,

What a funny word,
I claimed love before,
Engaged, yet when she,
Did the worst thing possible
And cheat on me,
It never hurt this bad.

I haven’t smiled since,
To hard, want to be on my own
I want to drown my sorrow,
It won’t help, I know,
Only one thing can help,
That’s lots of time.
For the foreseeable anyway.

Time to end,
But not my life,
Just this note,
This poem,
This ode,
Tears are forming yet again.
