Room

I sit in this room
Day in and day out,
I sit in this room,
Alone, bored silent,
Watching a DVD,
Maybe playing a video game.

I wonder each day as I sit,
Will my life get better?
Will I be happy once again?
I doubt that,
Every time I get happy,
It’s stolen from me,
And I am left,
To sit in this room,

Boredom overwhelms me
Yet I have no job,
As I am either over qualified,
Or under qualified for the position applied.
Or as I don’t have experience in the sector
I get refused.

I sit in this room
Day in and day out,
I sit in this room,
Alone, bored silent,

Thinking on ways I could die.
