The Winner

Do we have to play this emotional game,
Running around over and over again.
The move has been made but not to win.
Life’s little complications win again.

The chess piece move a 4 space’s diagonal,
Black queen takes it from its place.
King of hearts falls off the table,
His queen stands tall, cranking the mouse trap.

Its a game of chance, win or lose,
A game of risk with your heart on the line,
Simon says hit red red blue,
memory games need to be played.

Check Mate, Uno, Canasta, BINGO
The game has been won but not by me.
Standing tall on the winners podium,
Life can move on for the winner at least.
