This Life

So this is what life is like,
For the masses,
I used to be in the minority,
Until recently,
My girl, resting her sweet head on my lap,
Watching a film or DVD,
Lager at my side,
Dog watching,
Wanting to get drunk.
Thinking how gorgeous she is,
And always will be
Thinking about how happy she makes me,
Living for the day.

Now that has changed,
Im bored,
I have no-one to spend the long weekend with,
No-one to rest her head on my lap,
No-one to hit me for drinking a beer,
Wearing my hat wrong,
No-one stealing my shirt,
Wearing my Jacket,
No-one there, to tell me they love me,
No-one I can see my life with.
No longer is there a dog,
Staring wanting to get drunk,

Im reduced to sitting alone,
In my room,
Wishing, Wanting and needing
The girl back,
Listening to “love” songs,
Staring at a picture, Taken
When she and I were happy,
Sitting on her bed,
We were in love.
I still am.
I still love her.
I always will.
